Treating Fine Lines With Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators are the leading cosmetic treatment to stop dynamic and active wrinkles on the face. When you suffer from frown lines, “eleven” lines in between the eyes, and other expression lines on the face, especially around the mouth, nose, and chin, a neuromodulator injection such as Botox or Dysport may be right for you. We also offer neuromodulator dermal filler treatment to treat certain medical conditions in Houston.

Using Hyaluronic Acid-Based Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a compound made by your body that hydrates your cells, and it is what makes skin look supple, bouncy, and healthy. Hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers are an excellent way to restore volume to cells, and they can make your skin look hydrated, bouncy, and firm. We offer Juvederm, Restylane, and SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® dermal fillers at ShineMD in Houston.

Juvederm is one of the leading dermal filler brands for volume enhancement. The Juvederm line includes Volbella, Vollure, and Voluma–each of which have different specialties. Volbella is specifically formulated to add volume to thinner areas, including the lips and the under-eye tear trough area. Vollure is primarily for adding volume to nasolabial folds. Finally, Voluma is ideal for adding volume and plumpness to the cheek area.

Resilient hyaluronic acid (RHA) is a special formulation of hyaluronic acid that even more closely mimics the hyaluronic acid produced by your body. RHA-based fillers take longer for the body to break down compared to other hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers, which means the results from your RHA dermal filler procedure will last longer.

Chin Enhancement With Kybella

Kybella is a cosmetic injection treatment used to reduce fat from the chin. People primarily use it to treat a double, weak, or soft chin. It can help you improve the appearance of your chin and jawline. It breaks down fat painlessly and permanently, and your body naturally passes the fat–leaving you with a chiseled jawline.

Dermal Filler Treatment Cost

The cost of dermal fillers depends on a variety of factors, including the skill and expertise of the provider, treatment area, type of product, and the number of treatments required. On average, the cost ranges between $650 – $1200 per syringe. Our aesthetic provider will be able to determine the treatment cost after evaluating your needs.

Dermal Fillers FAQ

Juvéderm fillers are a clear gel made of a modified form of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the skin that promotes hydration while enhancing the skin’s elasticity and volume. We will gently inject dermal fillers into your target areas, immediately replenishing lost volume and smoothing lines and wrinkles for a younger-looking, revitalized appearance.

As with any injection, you will feel a slight prick at the injection site. Dermal fillers include lidocaine, a numbing agent, to help ensure your comfort. If you are concerned about pain, we can also use a topical numbing cream. Applying ice (covered with a towel) to your treatment areas both before and after your session will help prevent further discomfort while reducing and relieving any potential swelling.

Dermal filler appointments last between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the areas of the face being treated.

There is minimal downtime with dermal fillers. However, with any injection, there is a risk of swelling, pinpoint bleeding, and bruising.

You will notice immediate results following your Juvéderm session. However, it can take up to a week to fully see your results. It can take up to a week for your dermal filler to fully settle into your contours and for swelling to fully subside.

Each one of Allergan’s dermal fillers provides long-lasting benefits as follows:
Juvéderm – 12 months
Voluma – 24 months
Vollure – 18 months
Volbella – 12 months
